State Geological Surveys Conclude their Contributions to the NGDS

The State Geological Surveys, which collectively house thousands of databases, directories, and geologic maps, have digitized and provided the data in interoperable formats as part of the National Geothermal Data System (NGDS). The State Geological Survey Contributions to the NGDS concluded data collection activities between Fall of 2013 and April of 2014, including vast amounts of at-risk, legacy, geothermal-relevant data and publications as well as new data collected during the lifespan of this project. All data is available through the NGDS portal at http://geothermaldata.org.

This project was managed by the Arizona Geological Survey for the Association of American State Geologists (AASG). AASG represents the State Geologists of the 50 United States and Puerto Rico. Founded in 1908, AASG seeks to advance the science and practical application of geology and related earth sciences in the US and its territories, commonwealths, and possessions.
